As a first-generation college graduate, I am dedicated to connecting classroom learning with scholarly practice. I create hands-on research-centered courses rooted in student mentorship and community engagement. In practice, this means using structured projects to guide students on how to carry out collaborative inquiry, communicate with public audiences, and become confident producers of sociological knowledge.
